OCEAN AVENUE, located in the heart of downtown Laguna Beach, opened in December of 1994. Created by the husband and wife team of Jonathan & Maria Thomas, OCEAN AVENUE is a redefinition of the traditional brewpub concept. If not for the gleaming copper tanks behind the bar, you might not suspect that OCEAN AVENUE is, in fact, a brewpub. The tastefully muted decor, accented by original works of art and unique floral arrangements provide a comfortable, yet unpretentious atmosphere for dining.

OCEAN AVENUE specializes in eclectic premium cocktails, as well as all the classics from Manhattans to Margaritas.  We are also well known for our handcrafted beers, receiving numerous awards from the World Beer Cup and the California State Fair.

The menu, a contemporary interpretation of rustic Italian/Mediterranean cuisine, is a welcome departure from the standard brewpub fare.  The menu features seafood, salads, panini as well as something special, authentic pizza from Italy inspired by the best of Napoli.

At OCEAN AVENUE, music is just part of the overall ambiance, DJs mix up retro, underground, deep house, hip hop, 80’s hits and live bands play diverse genres such as Reggae, Latin, Jazz and Blues, something different every night.  You’ll hear the music you don’t hear everywhere else.

OCEAN AVENUE is also a perfect place to have a private party. Portions of the restaurant can be reserved for a private reception, buffet or dinner party. Guests that come here, have a great time, while savoring our award winning hand-crafted beers and our Italian/Mediterranean cuisine.
